introducing influenza

its seems like the flu is going around. i like that the flu is called the flu. it sounds so much more b.a. than if it were preceded by some other article. take colds for example. "ive got a cold"- lame. "ive got a fever", again whimpy. "ive got the fever", people are running the other direction. yes, this is simple grammar, but the flu owns it. even when something serious like lupus comes around you just say, "man, you got lupus"(m.h.) - not, "man, you got the lupus". also adding to its street cred is the brevity of the name. i mean it just cuts you its so sharp. the flu! try being hardcore when your name is streptococcus.

the flu = champion.
