im about as fairweather as it gets right now. im so excited to watch the caps play on fri in their first playoff game. it will probably be the first full length caps game ill have watched all year. and yes the only players i know are ovechkin and federov (who only came in later). im hopping on the bandwagon, but i couldnt be happier about it. check out this caveman below. apparantly his dad was a pro football (euro) player, and mom was a gold medalist. not a shabby pedigree. hes pretty much the reason ill be watching. plus the caps are from dc.
also surprising, i like watching the orioles at the moment. baseball is probably one of my least favorite things to watch on tv, but right now im perfectly happy to watch the o's while trying to check things off my to do list. maybe its that i dont have to really pay attention and maybe its that they are actually winning - whatever it is, im pretty exciting to walk to camden yards and not really pay attention. i think im just happy to actually root for a team in the city i live in. oh, and talk about sustainable, camden is a sharp little ballpark. it really highlights how nice and unique adaptive reuse can look...all before green was cool.

i took a long shot and checked to see if there were any tickets still available... no luck.
I'm seeing the Nationals this Friday for my brother's bday. I hate baseball. He hates it as well.
um....why cheer for the O's when you can cheer for the Nationals. duh- DC is better.
Funny story. The other night KR said something like, "I wanna go to a Phillies game when they play the O's decked out in all my O's gear!" Everyone else had confused looks on their face and asked, "You have O's gear?" She doesn't. HA! She replied, "I'll get some." I said, "Why cheer for the O's- cheer for the Nat's, duh" She replied, "DC has a baseball team! Since when?"
